Your journey begins with an initial consultation (around 50-60 minutes), where we’ll explore the issue you’d like support with and clarify what you’d like to achieve from hypnotherapy. I will share with you some knowledge on how the brain works in relation to your issue. You will leave this session with a relaxation track to support sleep.
Subsequent hypnotherapy sessions last 50 minutes and usually takes place weekly.
We begin each session with psychotherapy (talking therapy), looking at the positives, learning simple facts about how the brain works and how we can start to bring about positive change. We then lead into the relaxation or trance.
As treatment progresses and starts to have an impact on your life, it may be possible to spread out the sessions. The number of sessions varies from person to person, but in most cases usually 6-12 sessions are needed.
Exceptions are simple phobias (4 sessions) and smoking/vaping cessation (delivered as a single extended session of 2 hours)
Sessions can be held in person or online via Zoom, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for you.
