💪🏻 Want age well? Strive to be STRONG, not skinny
Jo Steele | MAY 28
Women have spent decades being told smaller is better.
But as we move through midlife and beyond, the research tells a very different story.
Losing muscle mass and bone density becomes a real concern as we age and constantly chasing “skinny” can leave women feeling weaker, more fragile and disconnected from their bodies. Strength training, mobility work and nourishing food are no longer optional, they are essential for long-term health, confidence and independence.
It’s time to stop shrinking ourselves and start building powerful, capable bodies instead.
In my latest vlog, I talk about why strength matters so much in midlife, the harmful effects of chronic dieting and how women can shift their mindset from getting smaller to becoming stronger.
